Foreign language day 2006

 

 Foreign language learning at our school – that is:


  • Special curriculum for our school based on the curriculum of the federal state Brandenburg
  • Learning to understand and use a foreign language
  • Working with different topics
  • Getting profound knowledge about language, traditions, culture and way of living of English-speaking and French-speaking countries
  • Working with different media
  • Theatre visits, projects (e.g. performing a theatre play in a foreign language), excursions, presentation of students’ works etc.

In which classes do we teach French?
  • French is taught from class 7 on, but students can choose whether to take French or WAT (= Economy, Work and Technology)
  • From class 11 on every student has to learn French (either in a  beginner’s course with 4 lessons per week or in a basic course with 3 lessons per week)
  • In both courses students can take the oral or written A-level
