Supraregional centre for support and advice

for visually impaired children in Brandenburg

This service is special in content and personally linked with the school for blind and visually impaired students. Specially educated teachers are employed in the centre.

On the basis of diagnostics educational advice and approaches for possible advancement plans are formulated. They are a help for the attendance and the councelling of the teachers in lessons, for workers in early advancement places and kindergardens and for workers of the regional places of advancement and councelling.
Students’ courses and the parent-children courses have a high signification for the preparation for admission at school and for the securing of the continuing of a successful integrative education.

The effect of the visual impairment, animation and councelling for the daily advancement, the equipment of the working place, media materials, orthoptistic  counseling, advice for the transition from school to apprenticeship are important points of these events.

Additionally, there is councelling for the specific early advancement, for the didactic-methodic changes of courses and the lesson materials, the evaluation and marking  and the use of extra lessons.
